Greg had been gone for over half an hour when Vaness Shawn showed up in Bradley Stevenson's office. The woman didn't even bother to knock and the veteran didn't bother to be offended. The woman was the daughter of one of the WIA's directors, this it didn't matter what he told her. She was conditioned to be an arrogant watchdog and she would never respect his seniority and experience.
Bradley looked up from the report he was reading on his computer. It was giving him a headache and he had other problems. However, the look he met on agent Shawn's face expressed the anger she was struggling to hide and he knew why.
"Still no news from Agent Everett?"
"He resigned, he is no longer an agent here," Bradley stated, turning his eyes back to his screen.
