Eden's voice was icy. Threatening. His gaze made Light feel like he was about to tear her to shred if she didn't keep a low profile. A shiver ran through the witch's body. She was still affected by the attacks she had suffered. The blows added to the lunar magic had succeeded to hurt her and the pain reminded her of that day when the men of the enemy clan had kidnapped her to torture her.
For the second time since the Warrior and the King had awakened their respective powers, Light was brought back to that time she had buried in a recess of her memory. She had seen millennia go by and experienced enough to erase those few days of her life as a Skinwalker yet they were etched in her and the slightest pain, the slightest moment she was put in a weak position was enough for everything to come back as if her tormentors had just walked away after persecuting her.
