"I get that," Kaiden sighed as he looked into the distance. Paul was the person beside him and they were chilling outside the balcony, under the protective branches of the sycamore tree. The base of the tree where they sat was floored with a dozen of leaves; fallen greens. The wind was cosy on that side with the sky a lot darker. It looked like it would rain in an hour or two.
"So, have you decided yet?" Chadwick asked him, eyes upfront. He had not intended to form this bond he now had with Kaiden. He had not also wished that he would start caring so much for the prodigal boy, but circumstances had a different motive, no?
