The arrow, creating a high-pitched whistle as it traveled with deadly certainty through the air. The weapon seemed to disperse all other natural sounds within the forest, no chirping of birds or cool puffs of air present to shake the branches of the evergreens. There was nothing to hinder the announcement of the projectile's trajectory as it flew swiftly between the trees, to at last strike the skin of a meaty boar. The hapless creature, emitting an agonized wail once the arrow had pierced its thick flesh. Leaves stuck to the blood which flowed from the puncture wound to the beast's side as it rolled onto the ground.
