Mariela's POV
"Hey, I had been dying to speak with you, Jay," I said when I found him waiting for me on the front porch of aunt Tamara's house.
"Thank you for coming, and I didn't expect you would be looking for me this morning," I said as I smiled at him. Archer left early morning because he wanted to help at the plantation, and I felt so happy when he told me ever since I came into his life, he had learned to assist on the cacao plantation. He wanted to be there to work hands-on together with their workers.
"I need your help, Ella." He said, and before he could even tell me what he wanted, I knew it was about Andrea.
"What can I do for you, Jay?" I asked.
"Can you help me convince Andrea to have another partner during the Cotillion dance?" He asked, and I furrowed my forehead at him; I thought he came here to tell me he would be there for Andrea on her eighteenth birthday.
