Kian stopped going to school when he was sixteen to work. His mother was sick in the hospital, and he had to pay all the bills. Despite the doctor advising him to pull the plug, he refused and kept visiting her for an hour every day after work. When he was finally free from Versem, he traveled through the multiverse to gain power and be able to go back to his universe, to save his mother, and confessed his feelings to the girl he always loved.
