Just when the heat had begun to fade from Rowan's cheeks, it rushed back again when he thought about what Lysander might need to wash from his skin. He splayed his fingers across his face more in an effort to hide than to conceal his injuries.
"What happened to your face?" Nicasi frowned as he took in Rowan's bloodied appearance.
"Nothing. What happened to yours?" Rowan said from behind his hand.
