I sighed and sat on the bed in my room then laid down. Saito finished setting up her computer and looked back at me. She walked to the bed and sat beside me.
"I sense a lot of stress coming from you. What's the matter?" Saito said then watched me sit up.
"It's finally happening. War. Judgement is constantly growing, Orishi's sister is a villain, I'm leaving my mother to just die out there. A lot is going on...I don't know. I feel a looming darkness inside me as well. It's like...not Fell Energy, but like real darkness inside of me." I answered then leaned against Saito. She wrapped her pinkie around mine.
"Maybe a bit of training would help you get your mind off it?" Saito asked.
"Maybe. I'll go see if Orishi is free." I said.
She nodded and let me go, watching me get up and leave the room.
"You're saying Hisumi can potentially become a Ruler? That's some great news! Now I'm more than excited to train her and your girls. If she's as strong as you say, I'm sure she should have a smooth month." Lianne smiled.
"I'm hoping for a smooth month, but since Tatemaki isn't even on the radar we should be fine." Orishi smiled then stood up. "Hisumi is said to be the key in stopping this war and I want to make sure she's able to reach her full potential."
"I'll help with that." Lianne stood up and smiled. "I'll help train the other women as well. No one will be left behind in this. We will all be as one."
Orishi nodded then walked outside and noticed a few of the women were already training together. Erika and Sumi were training together, Ambrosia and Orika were training together, and Kikyo and Yumeji were training together.
"Seems the other women are still settling in. This is a bit different from St. Fraskia, so I understand." Lianne said then noticed Annie talking to me. "Seems like my daughter is more curious about Hisumi than I thought."
"I want to see your power in action! I bet you have like some super cool powers! I've always wanted to see a Valkyria in action in real time!" Annie said.
I looked at Annie then crossed my arms. "Well I can't really just show you. I got to get fired up for a battle. If I could just show on command, I would."
Orishi walked to me and I looked at her. "I see you're getting acquainted with Annie here, but how about we get acquainted with each other again?~"
"I've been meaning to ask you something Orishi. Rematch me! Not only do I want to fight you again, but Annie wants to see me in action." I said.
"I have no issue with fighting you again." Orishi crossed her arms.
"Well you two aren't gonna fight here and have my crops caught in the cross fire. There's an old stadium behind the dormitory. You two can fight there." Lianne said.
"Great. I'll make this an Exam Test as well, but even if you win you're still training more! I can't have you slacking off." Orishi smiled.
"I'm not gonna slack off! Besides those dumb errands have just been taking off from my training time, but I know I still got the skills." I said then looked at Orishi determined.
"Good, now let's go." Orishi said then followed Lianne to the stadium.
The other women watched us and wondered where we were going. They decided to follow us. Once we made it to the stadium, we noticed it was still in good condition.
"There's no way this stadium is still in this good of condition." Orishi said.
"Believe it or not, it is. This place has been watched over by a Ruler for quite some time now. The ruler seemed to want this place to stay in good condition." Lianne said. "I'm glad they are because we are going to experience a legendary battle commence."
"Damn straight we are." Orishi smiled and walked into the stadium.
"Let's watch, Ambrosia!" Orika said excitedly.
"Alright.." Ambrosia smiled and crossed her arms.
I followed Orishi into the stadium and we looked around. There was a huge monitor where the commentator area was. The battle area was massive. It was bigger than the exam area at St. Fraskia and bigger than St. Hoya's Stadium.
"With this much space it seems we can do a lot more." Orishi said then noticed the lights turn on.
"The Exam Battle between Orishi and Hisumi shall begin shortly!" Lianne giggled on the microphone then we looked up at her. "I've always wanted to use this and now I can! Give us a good show ladies!"
I looked around and noticed some of my friends sitting in the stands. I also noticed Ryan sitting beside Annie. Seems he wanted to also watch this battle.
After everyone got situated, Lianne pressed a button and the monitor came on. "Alright! Are we ready? You all can begin when you feel like it!"
Orishi summoned her great sword and smiled. "I'm always ready."
I summoned my sword and got in a stance. I looked at Orishi and my eyes shined. I smirked then dashed forward to Orishi. I yelled and went for an attack. She blocked the attack and kicked me back then dashed forward to me. She dragged her sword against the ground then slashed in a circle. I blocked the attack and grunted then was pushed backwards.
I ran towards Orishi once again and my lightning aura crackled around my legs then I vanished in lightning speeds and appeared behind Orishi. I kicked her away and she grunted then recovered, sliding back on one knee. She dashed to me and slashed upwards. I tried to block it, but my sword flew out of my hand. Flames surrounded her sword and she slashed at me, hitting me. I groaned as I was knocked into the air.
"Orishi is still really strong...stronger than I remember." Lianne said. "But I know this isn't all Hisumi has..."
I recovered in the air and opened my eyes. Lightning began to emit from my eyes then I held my hand out and my sword returned to my hand. "Raijin Fury!" I bellowed and flew down with a powerful slash.
Orishi blocked the attack but couldn't block the bolts of lightning. She grunted as she was hit. I kicked Orishi backwards and she stumbled backwards. She found her footing then exhaled.
"Hisumi is actually overpowering Miss Orishi." Erika said.
"She's definitely gotten stronger over these past week and that School Battle might've helped her a lot." Yumeji nodded.
Orishi smirked and placed a hand on her hip then looked at me. "Hey, Hisumi. When the hell did you get so fast? Seems like you've gotten even faster than I remember."
"When I trained against Yae the day I lost my Fell Energy, I discovered that using my lightning energy on my legs will boost my speed by a lot. I've begun to move 10% faster than normal. It isn't a lot, but it is enough to catch my opponents off guard." I answered and smiled. "I don't plan to let this end the way it did the first time. I'm gonna come at you with all I've got!"
Orishi smiled and got in her stance. "Come at me then. Show me what you've really got!"
I nodded then dashed towards Orishi. Our eyes shined brightly and I went for a flurry of attacks. She blocked all of them then went for a counter attack. I blocked her attack and noticed her sword shining. I grunted as she slashed in a circle, knocking me away then slashed again, releasing a cutting wave at me. I blocked the cutting wave then an explosion happened. I groaned as I was blown away.
I grunted then landed on my feet and dashed to her again then lightning crackled around my legs. Orishi looked at me and smiled as she blocked my attacks with ease. I didn't let up the offensive pressure. I kept slashing at her then slashed through her, sheathing my sword. Orishi was hit with multiple lightning fast slashes then fell to one knee.
"Whoa...What was that?" Annie asked.
"Iaijutsu. Hisumi seems to be very proficient in the art of the Katana. It would make sense since it's the weapon of choice, but her lightning allows for more unpredictability. It also seems she's adapting as she fights Orishi." Ryan answered.
"That...was a good attack..but it's gonna take more than that to take down someone like me." Orishi stood up and smiled.
I turned around and looked at Orishi. "I didn't expect to defeat you that easily, but you have to admit that I'm better than before."
"You are, so that's why I think you're ready to see my real power." Orishi said then summoned a second sword and began dual wielding.
I looked a bit surprised. "Two great swords? Are you kidding?"
"Don't let the size of the blade confuse you." Orishi smirked then launched herself at me.
I went to block her attack, but it seemed as if she was stronger now. I couldn't keep a good grip on my katana and it flew out of my hand. I groaned as I was hit by her other sword. She sent me flying in the air. I began falling back down then she slashed in a circle and hit me with her swords, blowing me away. I crashed into the energy wall and grunted then my aura vanished. I fell to the ground.
"Dual Wield Orishi was a beast on the battlefield. She learned to dual wield when Ieyasu was hurt and couldn't fight for himself so she picked up his blade and used it to fight. Orishi became known as the Twin Flames from that point on." Ryan smiled.
Annie looked at me and noticed me getting back up. "She recovered quickly.."
"Damn...that shit hurt a lot.." I groaned softly and panted.
Orishi smiled and looked at me. "Glad to see you've learned to control your emotions. I was expecting you to go wild."
"I was, but I didn't have the energy after wasting it all on that multi cut move I pulled off. I had to move faster than you could see which took a lot out of me." I sighed and groaned. "Once again I lose again! I thought I had an upper hand this time."
"Well you have a whole month to try and beat me, but be warned I'm no longer going easy on you. After seeing you pull off that attack on me, I can sense that you were adapting as you fought. You moved faster than lightning...combine that with your skills at Iaijutsu and you've got yourself something special. Keep training in that. Not even Kikyo and Misao know that level of Iaijutsu." Orishi smiled.
"I'll keep training and soon I'll live up to my destiny and stop Judgement and Silent Fox." I nodded and smiled determinedly.
"Good." Orishi nodded and ruffled my hair.
