We made it to the First Sakura District and I asked for directions to Misao's shrine. The village people told me the directions of the shrine and I bowed at them, thanking them. I walked to the direction of Misao's shrine and climbed the stairs.
"Stay back Orimi. This is it." I said.
Orimi nodded then stood back and waited.
I walked up the final set of stairs then looked at Misao who was sitting on the stairs of her shrine.
"I'm out of time." Misao started as she heard me walk towards her.
I looked at her and her skin was gray and her hair looked like a dead pink color and her eyes looked devoid of all life. "Misao..."
"Promise me something..." Misao said then stood up. "Promise me you won't hold back in this fight."
I watched her and felt my heart aching even more. "I...I promise."
"I know this is a tough pill to swallow, but this needs to be done. Are you ready?" Misao asked.
"You know I'm not ready.." I said.
"And neither am I." Misao smiled then looked serious and summoned her katana. "Prepare your self!"
She dashed to me and I summoned my katana then blocked her attack. We immediately went into a blade lock and stared into each other's eyes. We both looked miserable, hurting on the inside, and broken. We push each other back then jumped away from each other. I took a deep breath and exhaled. I dashed to Misao and vanished then a flurry of slashes hit her and she grunted. Another flurry of slashes struck her then I reappeared in front of her then kicked her away.
She grunted loudly as she crashed into a stack of crates. She stood up and her dark aura slowly surrounded her body. She looked at me and dashed to me. I dashed towards her and we slashed at each other. Our blades clashed again and again, no one was letting up the pressure. Misao parried my attack then used her light to blind me. I grunted and rubbed my eyes. Five slashes hit me then I was blown away by a beam of electricity. I grunted as I crashed into a wall. I fell onto my knees then slowly stood up.
I looked at Misao and wiped my eyes. I yelled then dashed to her and jumped in in the air. I came down with a spin then slashed downward with lightning surrounding my sword. Misao blocked the attack and grunted. The ground cracked a little.
I used a burst of speed to move around Misao quickly, leaving behind afterimages after every move.
"Your most famous Flash Step Technique. It was always a treat watching you use it in your fights. I always loved just looking at you vanish and reappear, but at the end of the day...I know how to counter it!" Misao said then slashed to the left.
I blocked the slash and grunted. I looked at Misao then smirked and my body turned into lightning shocking her. She screamed in pain as she was getting shocked. I appeared above her with a Raijin Comet and pressed it against her body then an explosion happened, blowing her away.
She groaned and slid backwards on the ground. She growled softly and her left eye shined red. She grunted as she began to become more corrupted. She yelled and her dark aura exploded around her body. I grunted and covered my face from the high winds.
She began to laugh then her aura disappeared. She chuckled and covered her left eye. She dashed to me and began to strike wildly. I blocked each attack then slid back and sheathed my katana and a flurry of slashes struck her. She grunted and chuckled then her skin slowly became more gray. She vanished and left five clones and they began to run to me and attack. I blocked the attacks then discharged electricity from my body to get rid of the clones. Misao appeared above me and slashed downward.
I dodged the attack and vanished then struck her with a barrage of slashes then appeared behind her and another flurry of slashes hit her. She groaned loudly then I kicked her away and cloaked myself in lightning then appeared in front of her and began to strike her back and forth at invisible speeds. I bellowed and she struck her with a lariat attack, sending her flying then teleported above her and axe kicked her to the ground.
I teleported below her and lightning ribbons spiralled around my body. "Lightning Nova!" I bellowed and unleashed a massive explosion of lightning energy. A gigantic, swirling dome of energy destroyed everything in its path and inflicted enormous damage to Misao. Misao let out a ghoulish scream as she was hit by the attack.
Orimi watched the battle from the sidelines and looked amazed at my Lightning Nova. She couldn't take her eyes off the attack.
My energy dispersed and Misao fell to the ground and I panted. I grunted as I was hit with major recoil from my attack. I stumbled backwards and looked at Misao. I walked to her and summoned a Talisman. I believed it to be over once I hit her with one of my strongest attacks.
Misao smirked and golden horns protruded from the side of her head and slowly curved around her head. She slowly got up and her hair covered her eyes. Her body emitted dark purple aura and a demonic wing emerged from the left side of her back. Her aura pushed me away and I grunted lightly.
I looked at Misao and noticed her Fallen transformation was completed. I was now faced with Fallen Misao. She manifested another demonic wing and flew to the sky. My lightning wings emerged from my back then I flew after her.
Orimi looked at the sky and looked worried. "Hisumi.."
Misao and I clashed multiple times then entered blade lock. She laughed and her eyes shined brightly.
"You have to stop me now! Don't you want to preserve this world?! Do you want to live to see another day?! You're fighting me to see another day!" Misao bellowed and pushed me away and shot a beam of purple flames at me.
I blocked the flames and grunted then was sent crashing to the ground. My heart began to ache more and more, seeing my friend barely hanging on to her sanity. I gripped my chest and began to pant softly.
Misao laughed and flew down to me at high speeds. I looked up and dodged her attack then looked surprised when she teleported in front of me and struck my stomach with a powerful punch. I coughed a bit of blood then was sent crashing through a wall. She looked behind her and noticed Orimi watching. She smirked and turned around.
Orimi looked scared of Misao and took a step backwards.
"There is no escape-" Misao said then stopped hearing thunder booming.
She looked back and noticed my rainbow lightning crackling around my body. Orimi looked at me and looked hopeful.
I glared at Misao and wiped my eyes of my tears. "Your fight is with me!" I bellowed and activated my Gem of Lightning to 100% and thunderclouds began to form in the sky.
Misao smirked widely then turned around and dashed to me. I dashed to her and we clashed, but I began to overpower her. I grabbed her and tossed her in the air then flew after her. I used my Perfected Iaijutsu to rapidly strike her with a barrage of slashes, knocking her higher into the sky then cloaked myself in my multicolored lightning and flew high into the sky.
I flew down towards Misao and bellowed loudly then my eyes shined brightly. "Heavenly Iris Starfall!" I yelled and struck Misao's back and we both began to crash down to the ground at high speeds.
I kicked her down to the ground then raised my hand to the sky. Lightning surrounded my hand and I looked down at Misao who was laying on the ground.
"Goodbye...Misao..." I swiped my hand down then a powerful divine bolt of lightning struck Misao's body and Misao let out a scream of pain then an explosion happened.
I slowly descended to the ground and watched the smoke slowly clear. Misao slowly began to turn back to normal and I summoned a talisman. I landed beside Misao and fell to my knees beside her and held her body in my arms.
Misao looked at me and smiled softly then held my cheeks. "You've become so strong...My hero. You've saved the entire Sakura District...and now I can reunite with my sister's.."
I looked at Misao and my tears fell down on her face. I held her tightly and held the talisman against her body and her body began to shine as I began to seal her away.
"Hey...Soon we shall meet again. Also...can you grant me this last request?" Misao looked at me.
"Yes.." I sniffled.
"Tell Liao Ru that I love her.." She smiled and poked my forehead then her body slowly turned into magic particles as she was being sealed away.
I looked at the talisman and gripped it tightly and closed my eyes as I slowly burned the talisman, sealing Misao away permanently. Orimi watched and looked sad, even shedding a few tears as well.
I opened my eyes and noticed a pair of Fox paws then looked up and noticed Misua in front of me. I stood up slowly and looked at her.
"Miko Hisumi. Miko Misao has requested before you arrived that I accompany you. She even wants you to have her legendary weapon, Saiketsu. She used this blade in the Old World to combat the Overlords of the past and won without struggle for the most part. Use this blade to save our world and use my power as you see fit." Misua said then bowed her head.
I looked at Misua and grabbed the katana out of her mouth and looked at it. It had a black and red handle, a golden hilt and a black and purple blade. I looked back at Misua then made my katanas disappear then rubbed her head. Misua swayed her tails then closed her eyes.
Orimi walked to me and held her hands behind her back. "Seems like we are done in this area. What's next?"
"We have to stop the Overlords now and the monsters. We need to win this war to save Earth." I said then looked at Orimi.
Orimi nodded and looked at Misua. "With her on our side as well...we can do this. I believe in our power."
I nodded then hopped on Misua's back and helped Orimi on her back as well then Misua ran off back to Yahoma. I looked back at the Sakura District and closed my eyes then looked back forward.
