Xu Tang was stunned silly, he couldn't understand what CEO Lu was talking about. This man was known for being kind hearted and nice. How could he say something so shameless. Did he force his daughter to donate her blood to him? OK, he might be at fault for crossing at the blind bend, but it couldn't be helped, that was where he parked his car.
After being stunned for seconds, he cleared his throat and said "CEO Lu, I know I caused the accident, but I didn't ask your daughter to donate her blood. Although I am very grateful to her"
"It's good enough you know that" he readjusted his sitting posture and said. "I came here for something else. Wei Yang is not your daughter..."
"What did you say?" a voice sounded from the door before it was pushed open by Madam Xu who rushed in with a food flask, followed by Wei Yang who was carrying flowers.
"CEO Lu, what do you mean by this?" asked Xu Tang frowning. How could he not be upset when him and his wife just talked of how to marry Wei Yang to the Yu family.
"Wei Yang is my daughter. She was swapped at birth with your daughter Lu Yan" he said
"Impossible, that is not possible...wait, you mean your daughter Lu Yan is my daughter?" her face brightened. She wanted to argue a little, although she never liked Wei Yang, she wanted to be a little resistant so as not to give herself away. But the moment she heard Lu Yan was her real daughter, her brain started scheming. ' I don't need the yu family anymore' she thought.
"Feng Li, " Lu Kang song called
"Yes" Assistant Li took out the report from his bag and passed it to Xu Tang who was still confused.
Xu Tang accepted and opened the envelope and found a report containing the result of the DNA of his and Lu Yan's test. He didn't bother with where or how his blood was taken, after all, he was in the Lu's property.
He read the report over and over again, until Madam Xu rushed forwards to collect it. She read it and smiled happily, but quickly concealed her joy. She cleared her throat awkwardly.
"How sure are you that Wei Yang is your daughter? What if your daughter is somewhere else with some other couple?" she didn't want Wei Yang to be their daughter. If she really was, won't they settle account with her for the way she treated her over the years?
" Feng Li" Lu Kang Song called again and Assistant Li passed them a picture of a woman who looked exactly like Wei Yang.
"That's my mother's photo" Lu Kang Song paused to take in their shocked expressions. "Do i need a stronger proof than this? If you are not convinced, we will be carrying out a DNA test in a moment" as he said that, he signalled Assistant Li to get the doctors, but Mrs Xu stopped him.
"No need, no need, we believe it" waving her hands. She wasn't crazy enough to ruin her own plans when it was already set.
"Su Yin!" Mr Xu called worriedly, his wife's greed is becoming too excessive. She couldn't even conceal it properly. Could she not see that CEO Lu is sneering at her? He will have to teach her a lesson when he leaves the hospital.
"Husband, there is really no need for a DNA. Don't you already believe it yourself? Look at the picture, they look too identical" she turned to face Lu Kang Song and said "CEO Lu, when can we get to see our daughter" she asked excitedly, not paying attention to her husband whose face was already deadly pale.
"Su Yin! just keep quiet!" he yelled. "CEO Lu, am very sorry for my wife's behavior, i will be sure to discipline her after this. Please don't mind her" who did his wife think she was talking to? This is Lu Kang Song!
Lu Kang Song revealed a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "It's okay, she has the right to ask about her daughter. You will get to be with your daughter after signing the kinship severing papers with Wei Yang"
Lu Kang Song looked at his daughter whose face only had a bored expression, sitting on the window looking at the street below. He felt his heart hurt. He stood up and walked over to her, raised his hand to pat her head out of habit but his hand stopped in mid air, because she turned around to look at him. He felt awkward and was about to drop his hand when she grabbed it and placed it on her head. His heart melted and he smiled. 'my daughter is so considerate' he thought. "Wei yang, I am sorry for not finding out until now. I am sorry for making you go through so much, I am sorry for...." his lips quivered for the first time after five years since his mother's death.
"It's ok" Wei Yang patted his hand. She was tired of all these drama. She has been in the hospital since 8am, this is almost 4pm. She just want to leave. She has something on later.
Lawyer Cheng who has being quiet all along, took out the drafted kingship severing papers and asked Wei Yang and the Xus to sign. Both parties sighed it without hesitation and Lu Kang Song left with Wei Yang.
Madam Xu was so happy she almost flew out the window. "I can't believe my innermost wish came true. Wei Yang is truly not my daughter. Husband, we can climb back to the top with Lu Yan. If I had known this day would come, I would have treated Wei Yang a little better, she would have been more useful than Lu Yan." she said regrettably.
"Tone down your voice, what if someone hears you. Though, What you said is a good thing, however, will Lu Yan accept and help us? That girl has been pampered and spoilt for long, will she agree to come back to us?"
"She doesn't have to come back to us, she has to stay with the Lus for us to achieve our goal." she said smiling.
" You scheming witch" Xu Tang said in a low voice.
"I heard that! " she barked at him.
