Oscar was relieved. He couldn't share the steak specially made by brother Aidan for him—this was the best steak he had eaten in this country.
He swallowed the last piece of his steak as he closed his eyes, feeling the watery meat melt in his mouth. After a while, he rinsed his mouth with a glass of red wine before he said, "What do you want to know?" His voice was cheerful, reflecting his mood.
"Why did the young madam's mood suddenly change? This morning, when she left the house, she was fine. Did something happen at the office?" Laura was worried because her mistress's schedule was supposed to end in the afternoon. Still, now that she was back, she even wanted to take a nap—something that had never happened.
Oscar stopped drinking his wine, remembering his boss's strange attitude. He put down his wine glass and looked at Laura with eyes that couldn't be described with words. He just stared at her for a moment before he answered.
