When Rose and Evan arrived in the living room, most of the family was in the room, chatting happily. Divided into two groups, men on the sofa near the fireplace and women in chairs near the television. Rose joined the women and sat down next to her mother.
She was in a good mood because Oliver had sent her a text message a few minutes ago to let her know he was on his way here with James and Danny. They'd probably arrive in five minutes.
"Mom, I invited my friends Oliver and the others to join us. Can you prepare dinner for them, too?" whispered Rose.
Molly was surprised. Her daughter invited her office friends, "Sure. How many?"
"Three. You know Danny and James. They're my college friends. They are now the directors at the Wilson group...." When she saw her mother nod, she continued, "So they'll be coming with Oliver."
"You did a good job inviting them to come. They must not have time to return to East City, right?"
