Rue pushed the three wolves out of the way and kept a hold of them.
Nico rushed to attack them.
"Fucking run! now! There is no time! Go go!"
Gritting his teeth Nico peered at her. "Seriously. I'm taking my beloved with me"
"no! you can't! Nico just run now. he is safe here... Dylan is safe here."
"Dylan....that's what you are going to name him? That sounds… tacky…" Nico glanced back and then at her who was fighting three grown wolves.
"Not the time for this!" Rue punched the wolf. "Just go. Please. go to your dad,"
Gritting his teeth Nico peered at them fighting. He decided to do the best thing. Fight. He ran to them and punched the one close by. He pulled Rue behind and started to throw punches.
His blood lust permeated the air.
It was not strong enough to hold back three grown wolves. But he was able to control one of them.
His eyes glowed slightly as he put him in trance.
He ran into the basement picked up the kid and ran out dragging Rue behind him.
They ran to his car and drove away. "I'll go pick up my dad. We are leaving at the first ferry we get."
"no," she shook her head. "Things have already changed because of me... it got worse...I lost my mum... something will happen to Dylan too... Nico I can't risk it,"
Nico glanced at her in surprise. "what the hell are you even talking about? You haven't told me your big secret yet"

"shit..." she glance back. "They caught up to us."
"Fuck," Nico sped up. "Seat belt. And please hold him carefully. we should get a car seat soon. What color should I choose for Dylan here," he gently held the child's little fist.
Baby Dylan giggled.
"Watch the road!" Rue shouted grabbing the baby tightly.
"Delicate... just be delicate please..."
He swiftly drove over to his house in less than twenty minutes. The car following them was still on their tail.
"go go go!"' Nico threw open the door and ran into his house. "Dad! We need to go! Father!"
"In here," his father shouted back.
The sound was coming from the basement.
"Dad come out. We need to leave now!" he hurriedly ran to the door.
His father grabbed his hand and started to dag him towards the basement.
"Dad?! It's not the time to play around. They are here to attack us!"
"us?" he glanced back at Rue and the baby in her hand. "Rue… I warned you. I warned you so many times! They can't meet! They should not meet so early!" He pulled Nico close and checked his neck. "Nico did you mark the child?"

His dad sighed, cursing under his breath. "Fine we shall deal with that later.....Rue the wolves are going to attack this place. go out. I don't want you or him getting hurt"
"But Nico…" she looked at him.
"I have my ways. Believe me and let me do my part."
With tear filled eyes, Rue nodded. She ran away.
Nico was shocked. "Dad?! My beloved is in danger! She's running right to them! dad!!"
"Just shut up and follow me!" he dragged him by his collar to the inside of the basement.
Nico panted loudly. "Where are we going? There is no exit down here. We are sitting ducks..."
"But there is a way for you to survive."
His dad pulled out the coffin from the side.
"Oh, this is where you have hid it. Nice going I was….."
Kieran pushed him in and strapped his arms to the side straps tightly.
"Dad! What the fuck...."
Nico did not notice the details before but now that he took a good look at it, he knew what this was. It was a slumber coffin. The elders who wanted to go for a prolonged sleep would usually draw all the blood out of their body and store it in a special chamber in the coffin.
When a button is pressed, all the blood is released back to the sleeping vampire's body, waking them up.

Rue, who was out of the building, felt the shock waves.
The werewolves who were chasing after them protected her and her brother from the debris.
