Killian was in a deep dilemma right now. The whole pack was aware that they had captured a few vampires and everyone was asking how they will be punished. But what they didn't know was that their alpha king had personally instructed him to take good care of them.
He pranced in front of the six who were tied up. The tallest one was the most scared and resilient of them all. He kept trying to cut his binds and tried to attack him.
Killian paused a bit to look at the blond vampire. His blue-green eyes flickered slightly and the young vampire looked away. "What are your names?"
"..." all seven of the vampires just silently glanced up at him.
"Can someone tell me what your names are? Pease… I mean you no harm." He looked intently at the bling vampire.
"I'm Darius. The grumpy-looking kid is Elijah, the trebling one is Kiran." He pointed to the tallest of them all. "This is matt. And this is Avery. The black-haired twins are hunter and Issac,"
"good… I'm Killian. I'm a beta of this pack,"
Darius silently nodded.
Killian awkwardly nodded back.
This young teenager, Darius, had the most intoxicating scent of flowers. It was so intense that he felt like he wanted to rub against him. His wolf was also happily cheering on inside shouting mate mate….
The moment he met this young one, he realized that this vampire was his mate. He was helpless as to what to do when Dylan ordered him to take him away.
Inside, his wolf was rejoicing that his mate was coming home with him, but his human side was conflicted. Because he was forcing the young vampire to come to their home as a hostage.
His alpha would not hurt these vampires, but he would definitely hold them hostage as long as he wanted to, just so Nicolai his mate would return to him. it could cause a bit of emotional trauma to his mate..
As he was looking at Darius. His shy eyes met his.
"shit…. I feel like shit for tying children up… what should I do? I have to follow orders. I hope my old man was here. I can just throw off my duties to him," he paused prancing.
He could not handle to see his mate tied up like this.
He bent down and touched his tied-up hand.
An electric shock went through his mind. He froze. And so did Darius
"Don't you dare touch them! I'll kill you! I'll kill you all!!!" matt jumped towards him. His legs and hands were tied together, so he toppled down. Even so, he was crawling close, trying to take a bite out of his leg.
"Look guys, I won't hurt you in any way possible. If you guys stop fighting, I will let go of your binds,"
"Liar!" the vampire named hunter shouted.
"I'm not lying. The alpha only wants his Nico. You guys are his precious friends. Do you think he will have the heart to hurt you?"
"He is the alpha king! He will kill his vampires!" the tallest vampire shouted.
"Well, our alpha king's mate is a vampire."
They all froze.
"Yes, Nico is his mate. He will not hurt you or his mate… he…. Look, he had been waiting for a thousand years for him….. that man is on the edge. That's why he is acting a bit crazy now and then. But he is a good man… if your Nico does not come, it's… he's going to break."
"Why should we care about that?" matt scoffed.
"Then don't you care about your Nico? You say he's your brother. Your brother's beloved is alive… he's here alive. They want each other and they crave each other's presence. Fate has already separated them for far too long…. They deserve to be happy," Killian walked out without waiting for a reply.
Dylan was prancing out the door anxiously. "how are they? Are they good? Comfortable?"
"No…"
"Fuck…" he sat down on the ground. "go out and ask our wolves to spread the news that we have captured seven vampires from an isolated island. Nearby villages and any human towns need to know of this."
Killian frowned deeply. Spreading news like this only causes harm. The alpha king might love Nico, who is a vampire, but the other wolves would not be so understanding. They would want them to put out a public display of burning them alive.
"its…. Dylan."
"it's Wolfie…..and you need to do this."
"You could be risking the vampire children's life,"
Dylan stood up. "I will never put them in harm's way. I… I just want my Nico here… I want him here…."
"I get it.. but don't you think that this kidnapping will only make your mate hate you more?"
Wolfie just scoffed. "he will… he loves me. Rue said so. She said my Nico loves me.. it's all because of these vampires that he did not return to me. He would have come for me right after waking up if he didn't have those guys sticking to him. I want him! I want him so much it hurts. Thousand years… I have been suppressed for thousand years! I want him….so for god's sake just listen to my orders!"
Killian watched as Dylan no Wolfie stormed out of the hallway. There had been stories that when an alpha wolf had been deprived if his mate for a long he might go crazy.
That's exactly what was happening to Dylan. His wolf, Wolfie, had gone crazy.
He glanced back at the closed door. 'shit Dairus is in there.. what should I do.. if I go against Wolfie now he will definitely think I'm challenging him… it will end up in a bloody battle.…'
{'fight him,'} his wolf Fang whispered in his mind.
'no a fight will not be to our advantage. Wolfie would not hurt them as if now. but if he lays a hand on Darius i will challenge him..'
{'coward.'} his wolf mocked him.
Killian glanced back at Dylan who was prancing around. 'it's called being smart. if you want to be mauled to death, go ahead and challenge him. Your head will fly high in the sky.'

The next day, news broke out in the nearby towns and villages that seven vampires had been caught.
Nico and Raven, who was just landed on the arctic wolf territory, also heard the whispers.
"What now?" Raven pulled down his cape to cover his face. He had to smear his entire body in flowers and whatnot just to mask his vampire scent. Unlike hi Nico did not have much of a scent. He smelled most like a human.
Nicolai glanced around. they won't be able to have an advantage in the morning. "we camp out in the forest and we attack at night."
They settled down in a small patch of grass close to his disintegrated castle ruins.
To be honest, he did not have any plan. He could not think of a plan. They were outnumbered but the wolves. They had no weapons, food or shelter. They were sitting ducks.
Somehow, the thought of surrendering to the wolves seemed like a great idea at this point. He glanced at Raven.
"Don't even think about it. You are not surrendering. We are attacking the alpha king. We are saving our brothers without throwing your life away,"
Nico silently looked away.
"look at me Nico! Look at me," Raven grabbed his shoulders. "you are not doing this…."
Nico sighed. "I can't think of an idea. If.. if we have weapons, we could have openly attacked them. You know werewolves are weak to silver. With a few silver bullets, we could take them out. or maybe better, we can kidnap the alpha king and exchange prisoners. But we have neither. We don't have a gun or a silver bullet. What can we do… we can't do anything…."
"we.. we can do something… we just have to think of that plan." Raven silently cried. "we need time,"
Nicolai chuckled dryly. "I don't think our brothers have a lot of time left… the wolves spread the news. Most likely, they are going to proceed with a public execution. If I surrender.."
"You're not surrendering!!"
Nicolai stopped talking. He just laid on the ground, simply playing with the sand. 'I'm so useless… I.. if my father was here, he could have helped. If my mother was here, she would have given me advice… who could I consult to.. I have no one…'
Subconsciously, he thought of that spell.
His eyes dropped. And he closed his eyes to a fitful sleep.
