Nicolai did not go to his room he directly walked over to the little twins' room. to his surprise, he found all of the vampires inside cuddling with each other.
"Guys, is something wrong? Did someone bully you? tell me their name or point to their face I will have a full of brawl with them,"' he hurriedly checked each and every one of them
They did not have any wounds or such. That was a relief.
Raven chuckled slightly. "we just felt weird being in such huge rooms..."
"Oh.. I don't think they have smaller rooms, though. but I'll ask Killian to arrange one if you guys want,'
"It's not that. We don't want to be alone," Avery hopped over to him and held his arm. "Come sit with us."
Nicolai gladly joined the group cuddle.
"So what happens now? We are here.. we are alive.. And the werewolves are not treating us that badly," hunter mumbled softly.
"Well... we wait." Nicolai peered out the huge window. "I can't abdicate Dylan right away. I need to establish my power in this pack before I take over his position."
Matt frowned deeply. "He is your beloved! Just tell him to leave! Or better yet, kill him,"
A sudden blood lust swirled out of his body. "What... did you say..."
Everyone trembled slightly.
"Nico..." Raven called out to him, which snapped him out of his dazed state.
"I.. I'm sorry... I don't know where that came from," he massed his throat. "I'm sorry Matt,"
Matt glanced away.
The only person who was very upset about these changes was Matt. He did not feel any bit secure being in the midst of werewolves so he would usually lash out like that.
"The alpha king is the only reason we are all alive right now. If we kill him, the wolves will kill us. We are not as strong as they nor do we have power in numbers. This is a waiting game. The one who tolerates will win. We have to tread carefully," Nicolai whispered.
"So you won't kill the alpha king..." he shot up. "You know, you are nothing but a deceiver. You met your beloved and you are already on his side.
"I'm not on his side! I'm only thinking of Everyone's safety right now. I don't care about him. Not one but!'
"Lies, that blood lust you displayed is more than enough of whose side you are on. I don't wish to be here. Who is with me?" he glanced around.
"We can't leave Matt. Our house location has been compromised. What if some angry wolf infiltrated our place? Worse hunters can come after us. You know the dire consequences we have to face.''
"Who is leaving with me?"
No one was by his side.
"good... good... I've been taking care of you all for years and here comes this man child and you all wish to fall into a death point with him.. good... if I have to be the only remaining vampires in this world so be it," he stormed out of the room.
"Matt, wait a bit." Nicolai ran after him. But Matt had already rushed away out the pack house and into the forest. "Fuck it's not safe out there!" he shouted.
One of the pack werewolves came to him. "I'll keep an eye on him, Luna."
Nicolai vigilantly peered up at him. "What's your name?"
"Ander,"
"He is not safe out there and if something happens to him, you are at fault. So take good care of him okay Ander,"
"Yes Luna," he bowed slightly and rushed into the forest.
The other pack warriors also bowed to him.
Nicolai slightly nodded. "Please take good care of my brothers… they have had a very harsh life,"
A taller blond-haired guy gracefully bowed. "we will do everything in our power to help them all Luna,"
"t-thank you… "
He walked in and almost ran into Killian. "Killian, if it's not a bother, can you arrange food for my brothers…."
"um… Luna, what do the vampires eat? Should I arrange for some human blood? Or is animal blood good. We have a lot of elk that the wolves hunted. We have stored the blood carefully. Would that suffice?,"
"Any animal blood is okay. we don't need much… thank you," he gently patted his back.
Killian smiled widely. "Don't mention it. The others are getting used to this place?"
"No… it will take a bit of time for them. They are not used to living in a big room or having someone smile at them… it's all new to them. I request the pack could be a little bit more tolerable towards them,"
"Definitely. I will inform everyone tonight…"
"Tonight? Why not now?"
"Well, tonight we have the full moon ceremony."
Nicolai glanced at him. "Really. It's the full moon?"
"yes…. please participate with your brothers, Luna. There are a few in the pack that are still fearful of the vampire's presence, but if we can prove them to be kind and sweet, it will be lot easier for us,"
"I'll ask my brothers what their thoughts are. If they don't wish to participate. Please don't force them,"
"Yes," Killian bowed slightly
"then.. okay.. I don't have much to instruct you." he walked towards the study again but he paused. "is he in there?"
"No… he's there…" he pointed to their backs.
Dylan who was hiding behind a door poked his head out.
"Is anyone playing hide and seek….."
"Luna our alpha might seem very childish but he really loves you…"
"You don't have to talk for him." Nicolai walked into the study and this time, he only let Killian inside and locked the door.
