Yuexi watched as Xiaoze opened her bag roughly, not even having the patience to rummage through it.
He walked over to the sofa, flipped her bag upside down, and poured everything inside onto the sofa, until it was empty, and nothing else came out.
"Where's the USB drive?" As Xiaoze spoke, he still held onto his bag, which swayed a few times with its opening facing down.
Nothing else came out. Xiaoze reached in to feel around again.
The space inside the bag wasn't big, but he had searched all the corners. He really couldn't find anything.
Xiaoze frowned and threw his bag onto the sofa. He turned to Yuexi and asked, "Where's the USB drive?"
"I was afraid of being discovered, so I didn't use the USB drive. I put it away." Yuexi made up an excuse.
She had planned to buy an identical USB drive when she came back, but she was afraid that Xiaoze would find out that it was different from the one she was carrying before.
