Waylen's POV.
Emily was quiet on the ride home. I didn't push her to talk either. I simply got us home safely and then into the house without giving explanations to the security details that were asking a lot of questions.
We got the kids to bed and then we went to ours.
"You are mad" I stated as a matter of fact.
"I am? Oh my God, you are a genius!" She said sarcastically.
"Tell me you don't agree with him!" I was angry instantly.
"If you are asking whether I want my children to be afraid then the answer is no but you didn't have to make Owen the bad guy. You have no idea the sacrifices he has made for those kids…no idea"
I moved closer to her.
"What sacrifices? Please tell me…tell me why I have to let a mad man stay in our lives, Emily"
