Zuri's POV
I had no idea I would feel this kind of silent rage as I watched Emily wipe the blood from her lips.
"I will do it. I can't keep being a victim! At some point I have to fight back…I have to…shoot back! It may as well be him!" She yelled.
Still no arguments from me.
I knew people like Anton enough to know that if you don't put them down, they try again and again and again until it's mission accomplished for them.
For people like Anton, 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' does not apply to them because they just try again and again until they achieve what they set out to do.
"Zuri! You can't let her do this!" Anton yelled from the floor he was sitting on.
I ignored him. I would get to him in time but for now, my focus was Emily.
