Mrs. Miller didn't respond to any of Mr. Roger's statements.
"Did you think if you hide the truth they will never find out? Once the investors know about Merry's potential, they will surely ask questions and the consequences are going to be severe. You and I can even lose our lives."
Mr. Rogers said trying to reason with Mrs. Miller.
As if Mrs. Miller suddenly realized the gravity of the situation, her expression softened, "You haven't told them anything about Anna yet, have you?" she asked in a hopeful tone.
Mr. Rogers sighed and shook his head. "No, I haven't disclosed anything about Merry. They only know about Henry and that Merry is basically incapable of having any special abilities."
"Thank goodness, I got scared for a second." Mrs. Miller smiled feeling relieved.
