Merry didn't waste a second more and went to check if Cole had returned. But to her disappointment, Cole's room was as empty as a bird's nest in December.
The day started as usual except for Cole's absence, which Merry was feeling a lot.
All of her friends too started their day, getting ready for their training sessions. Eventually, she was left alone in the dorm once again.
Unlike the day before, Merry decided against the idea to simply just sit in the couch and do nothing while waiting for Cole. It would only make her think worse and feel more sad.
Her friends had all sort of talents and powers that she couldn't really fathom and they were trained daily which was a thing inaccessible to her.
In the meantime, she too had picked up some skills for painting. She wasn't learning from anyone. It was just a series of trial and error.
But she had improved quite a lot. So she decided to paint something in order to distract herself.
