William and Cole got to have a chance to converse with each other about their experiences and thoughts they had during the training programs. However, apart from that they couldn't talk more or come to a conclusion about what was happening around them.
They didn't want to get caught and the balcony being blocked with a wooden plank couldn't be a coincidence. There had to be a reason why they decided to do so.
Every room on the back side of the building had balconies, so they must have thought that the children could get away from there.
Whatever the reason, first and foremostly they didn't want that the people from the organization know that they know about the balcony.
Except for Merry, everyone was sent to a mission or one every month. The time took to complete one mission varied from one another. Some mission like tracking someone, observing someone and getting information about them took less than a week usually.
