Merry was reading one of the books she had grabbed, obviously by asking for the permission, from Mrs. Miller's office. Mrs. Miller usually let Merry take books or sometimes even snacks from her office.
It wasn't like she was reading the book for the first time, she had already read it like two times in the past month only. Even more Merry herself didn't find the book that much interesting. Still Merry read it frequently.
None of her friends had come back from their lessons. She had time to kill. So Merry was passing time, reading that self help book which could not possibly help anyone but an ameoba.
Anyway, it wasn't like she had many choices. There were only such books in Mrs. Miller's office. Just then, the main door of the dorm was thrown wide open accompanying with a loud bang.
