It was Merry's very first time seeing so many vehicles at one place. In fact, it was the first time she had seen a car or a van in real life. Otherwise, she had seen them only in books or in magazines sometimes in Mrs. Miller's office.
Many vehicles including cars, vans and some pickup trucks were parked there side to side, perpendicular to the wall, in two rows. And a aisle was there in between the two full rows of vehicles.
As they entered the parking space, Mrs. Miller started walking ahead of them through the aisle. The guards waited for a second and then immediately surrounded Merry and her friends.
Merry was tremendously confused with the whole situation. It looked as if the guards were escorting them somewhere.
"Where are they taking us?" Merry whispered to William who was walking beside her.
