Dou Wei looked like she had seen a ghost, same for Chunhua, whose lower lip continued to quiver, as she tried to force words out of her mouth.
Chan Zian who didn't understand what was happening to both women tossed a helpless glance to Lihua. "Can you please help him?" He asked, gripping onto the old man's fingers tighter, as though he were alerting him of his presence.
Fu Bao arrived at the scene, and just like Chan Zian he too couldn't understand why both women reacted in such a manner.
Lihua had a pitiful look drawn across her face, she reached out to tap Dou Wei on the shoulder, but her companion backed away, dodging her touch.
"How? How is this happening to him? Wasn't it over already?" She mumbled under her breath in a panicked tone. Lihua painfully retracted her hand and instead focused her attention to old master Chan.
