As Mei Deng was getting fully invested into the story, the alchemist stood up abruptly and made for the door.
"Where are you going?" The young doctor asked, almost trampling over his hair to catch up to the old man.
"I can't stay here all day and chit chat." He responded, folding his sleeves, placing a damper on their momentum.
"When will you be back? There are still things you haven't explained to me." Yu Xiaoguang pointed out, "like why you're trying to hide this disease." He gave the alchemist a square look, letting him know he wasn't easily derailed.
The old man flinched. 'What sort of disciple did I pick up?' he shook his head then said, "kid, do I pass my regards to the general for you?" He asked in a teasing tone, pulling open the door.
Mei Deng felt his chest tighten, he clearly remembered the terms in which he and Tengfei separated. He could only imagined the piseed expression on his face if someone dared to bring his name up in conversation.
