Mei Deng pinched his temples and huffed, he could spot the actual fear in his cousin's eyes, as he staggered to his feet.
"What are you implying now..." He cracked a nervous smile, displaying no pride as a man. "The guests are going to think you really want to kill me." Shao Yŭxuān added, dusting off the spec from his robes with jittery fingers.
Wang Tengfei narrowed his eyes, he reached for his sword to maybe make an example out of Shao Yŭxuān. Fortunately, Mei Deng predicted the general would do such and intervened, holding his wrist.
"If you kill him, it'll backfire and cause a commotion." Yu Xiaoguang whispered to only his hearing, tossing a serious glare at his partner.
Wang Tengfei exhaled in defeat and straightened his back, "let's go." The general announced, turning to fully face the other man. Mei Deng nodded, both men turned to leave, but sadly didn't even get to get off the stage.
