Anxious over the possiblity of his mother being held hostage here, Mei Deng quickened his steps, pulling away from the general, running straight ahead. Wang Tengfei blinked twice and followed from behind.
Mei Deng continued running forward till they reached two paths, with one torch hung in the middle. The doctor who despite getting a headstart, still arrived at the same time with the general.
"Brother traffic, which way do we go?" He asked, standing at the division.
"Minister Ma knew this would happen, he wanted to split us up." Mei Deng added, thinking through the pros and cons of splitting up.
If they both remained together, it's possible they might find out nothing and the purpose of this mission would be forgone. However, if they did split up, no one knew what the other would be getting into.
Wang Tengfei looked at both paths for a second then grabbed Mei Deng by the wrist, advancing towards the first one.
