By the time a questioning Mei Deng arrives at class Opal, most of the class is engaged in brother Chen's daily slander. His target for the day was Chan Zian, and for some reason he seemed more hyper active than normal.
"I tell you! Who would have guessed that old master Chan's house would burn up in flames? Hahaha! What a dose of bad luck! At least Yu Xiaoguang has a roof over his fucking head!" Brother Chen spat out, laughing hysterically and shaking uncontrollably.
Mei Deng rushed over to Chan Zian and pulled himself a seat beside him, without even so much as exchanging pleasantries, he brought up the topic of conversation.
"Chan Zian, old master Chan's house burned down?" Yu Xiaoguang faced him directly, it had been some time since they last spoke.
Without breaking his concentration from his notes, he scoffed and replied, "should my living conditions be your priority? Yu Xiaoguang, are you serious about ranking first?"
