Mei Deng stood at the middle of their insults and attacks. It was not that he was unable to retaliate but rather that he chose not to, knowing fully well that if he retorted to violence, nothing would be achieved.
"Everyone calm down and listen..." Someone threw a full grown cabbage at the young doctor, not caring if he reduced his own inventory.
Mei Deng could see it coming right at him, but had no time to dodge it. Thankfully, Chan Zian stood in front of him and sliced it in half with his sword. "Yu Xiaoguang, don't just stand there, if they're not listening knock some sense into them." He proposed, with the sword still raised in front of him.
"That is barely the answer, they're hungry and tired, this is just bad timing. If only I had something that could move them into action..." He pinched his chin, brainstorming ideas to win over an angry crowd.
