Eight Prince, Biming stood with his feet glued to the floor, unable to speak another word. Fortunately, his mother who had heard what was happening from a servant she sent to eavesdrop, swiftly marched into court.
The guards immediately stopped her at the entrance, but the rowdy consort tried to force her way in, "I want to see the Emperor! My son is innocent!" She cried out, refusing to be held back.
On hearing his mother's voice, Biming got of a grip on himself, "unhand her! How dare you lay your hands casually on a consort?!" His authoritative voice did startle the guards, but they still waited on the Emperor's orders.
"Let her come through." The Emperor declared, the guards immediately let go of Consort Meiying. With her limbs freed, she fell to her knees.
"Great Emperor, why is this happening to our Biming? How could such false allegations be entertained?" She cried out, crying as though her son was wrongly accused.
