*Prison*
Wang Tengfei glided his fingers across the jade hairpin in his hands, his gaze softened as he imagined Yu Xiaoguang wearing it. Standing at the door to Wang-Yu residence, with a toothy grin.
His happy thoughts were disrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching, the general swiftly slipped the hairpin into his clothes.
"General Wang!" The voice of a warden cried out, Wang Tengfei sat with his back facing him, unconcerned with their regular taunts and mockery.
Seeing as the general was unresponsive, the owner of the second footstep slapped the bars of the prison, causing a noise.
"Who knew the general could sulk? What? Are you already seeing your life flash before your eyes?" The familar taunting voice of the retired general Wang sounded.
His son grimaced at the realization that it was his father who had come to fetch him. He reluctantly rose from his sitting position and walked forward.
