For the first five minutes of their stroll, Mei Deng stole glances at Chunhua, wondering what it was she wanted to talk to him about privately. He believed that both women had hit it off well and were extremely close.
"Young Master I have to ask you something, would you please listen to my question?" Chunhua asked out of the blue.
"Sure."
She relaxed her tensed shoulders, she lowered into a squat and picked up some pebbles on the road. Without looking back, still in a squat position she asked in an unequivocal tone.
"Does the young master want to get married?"
Mei Deng stood frozen in place with widened eyes with his jaw hanging down. "Eh?!!" He cried in a loud voice, startling Chunhua. She quickly rose to her feet and checked his temperature with the back of her palm.
"Thank goodness you're not running a fever."
Mei Deng nodded with his eyes spiralling, he could not bring himself to look Chunhua in the eye.
