Whilst the Emperor and Empress were stunned beyond their wits, Wang Tengfei marched forward, with his hand rested on his sword holster. He walked up to the Emperor and took a polite bow with folded hands.
The room turned silent, even the woman who was crying over her sliced off wrist found herself shutting up, when faced with the general's intimidating aura.
"Men, bar all the exits, no one leaves until we find who the killer is!" The general sternly announced, his men promptly did as they were told. Those from the shield regiment stood at all exits.
Whilst those from the sword regiment, had their sword pointed at each delegate's throat, a stern look in their eye. Chan Zian stood in front of the crown prince, taking a defensive stance.
"Don't worry your highness, I'll protect you." Chan Zian said to the crowned prince, who was clearly over five years older than him.
