*Crown prince quarters*
The Crown prince was somewhat surprised that the Wang general would answer his summon so quickly. Growing up, he had seen the child when he came to pay visits to the Imperial consort. But unlike most children, the general was silent, and hardly ever make mistakes.
Hence he mistook the general's meticulous nature for haughtiness, and grew up with a sort of indifference towards him.
"Your highness, what may I do for you?" Wang Tengfei asked in the most civil tone, clasping his hands to the crown prince Caishen.
Standing behind him was Chan Zian, who had remained at the palace on the prince's order.
"I will be taking this soldier off your hands, he will serve me directly from this day onwards." Prince Caishen declared, getting straight to the point.
Wang Tengfei diverted his gaze from the prince to Chan Zian who stood behind him. He recalled him as one of Yu Xiaoguang's classmates from his college days, but had no idea that he was in his army.
