*Crown Prince Quarters*
Ever since the night of the banquet, the servants all took notice of how a particular man from the army, clung to the crown prince, following him around like a stray cat would.
It became bothersome, when the crown prince sent away all his guards at night and disappeared into his quarters with said soldier. Since no one knew the basis of this camaraderie, a various numbers of rumours had started to spread across the servant quarters, even up to the imperial Harem house!
"Mother, you summoned for me?" Prince Caishen marched into his mother's quarters, with two servants holding a large basket of white flowers.
The Empress quickly abandoned the sewing she was doing, she signalled her maids by a finger snap to set the table for them both. However, Prince Caishen stopped the women from doing so.
"What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?" His mother asked, standing directly in front of him, she reached to cup his cheek in her palm.
