Ruolan and Mei Deng stood outside the tent, waiting for the general and his lieutenant to finish discussing. While they waited, Mei Deng decided to find out somethings from this servant who continued appearing in front of him.
"Ruolan, I need to ask you a thing or two, I hope we have enough time to speak now." He nervously chuckled, recalling all the times he tried speaking to her only to be interrupted.
Ruolan gulped, 'Is this the infamous love confession, madam always writes about in Ju's stories? If I recall correctly, the possible love interest will lead the young Miss away and say something similar. Does this man actually harbor affection for me?' while she entertained these speculations, Mei Deng was busy thinking about two things.
'Who invaded this village? Was it the villagers? Were they secretly hiding and waiting for the attack?' he was busy with operating on Tingting, that he didn't know what was going on outside.
