"You mean you weren't originally from this village? Then where did you come from?" Yu Xiaoguang asked, keeping his attention on Tung's bedroom door, wondering what the general could be discussing in length with such a young child.
"Like I said, I was more or less the child of a bandit. I grew up in camps and caves where bandits hid out, but never had anyone claim me as their child. Which was why I always assumed my father must have been a bandit, and perhaps my mother was a slave or a kidnapped victim." He explained, stunned at how freely he conversed with this stranger he knew nothing of.
