It took Lian's brave dive to pull Mei Deng back into his right frame of mind. Fortunately, he was able to reduce the amount of force he used last minute, though it wasn't very much.

An exasperated sigh left his lips, "what a wasted affection." He said under his breath, then walked out of the house.
