They landed.
It wasn't smooth, but they landed at the nearest shore, with everything intact. Mei Deng was the first to get on his feet, then he extended his arm to Ruolan, then to Ju, helping both women stand.
He briefly recalled how the wind intensified midway, and nearly knocked Ju off the boat. It was fortunate, that he noticed, and stood behind her, helping to steer the boat to shore.
"Can you walk fine?" He asked, staring at her limping left leg, which she sprained on the sailboat. Considering the stab wound on her palm, it was a miracle she survived with just a sprained ankle.
"Yes, I can manage." She replied but Ruolan sharply bud in.
"Here, I'll carry you." Lowering herself, she tapped on her lower back, hinting at Ju to climb on.
At first Ju hesitated, but when Mei Deng offered to carry her himself, she had no choice. "Please, forgive the intrusion." Ju said, climbing onto Ruolan's back, her cheeks flushed red from embarrassment.
