By the time captain Huájī arrived at the scene, most of, if not all of their soldiers were on the floor, writhing in pain, their skin dried and resembling the scale of fishes.
He gasped audibly then grabbed a servant by the collar. "What is this?!" He demanded, unsure of what exactly he was looking at.
The servant couldn't speak because of the Captain's tight grip, tapping on his palm furiously, he kicked his legs against the air, struggling to breathe.
Brother Gu was swift to notice and called the other servants to help seperate the two. On seeing so many men in white holding onto his clothes, desperately trying to pull him away, Huájī hissed then let go of the man.
Turning to brother Gu, he demanded, "Take me to the boats!"
As instructed brother took him to where the boats were kept, and just like the servants had reported, at the far distance some people in black were seen escaping.
