Wang Tengfei sat across from Bingwen who was given a fresh change of clothes from the inn keeper, who had a son about his age. Fortunately, he hadn't sustained any serious wounds to add to the kick he had swallowed from earlier. The general had planned to let the child sleep in his room, whilst he contacted his father to pick him up. But when Bingwen insisted he wanted to have a 'chat' with the general, he found himself sitting on the same table with the kid who was no less than ten years old.
"As you know," Bingwen started off breaking the silence. "I am the first son and child, which means the weight of the family falls on my head." He declared, speaking as though his head could carry more than an arm's worth of load.
"I see." The general said, then helped himself to a cup of liquor before him, treating the child as though they were on equal footing.
