The Emperor blinked twice in full blown shock of the crown prince's request, his Eunuch's widened eyes matched the stun on the Emperor's face.
"Caishen! Explain yourself!" The Emperor raised his voice with curled fists, but the crowm prince did not relent. He passed the scrolls in his hands to the nearest servant and had them pass it to the Emperor.
The Emperor raised his palm, preventing the servant from coming any closer. "Do you understand the implication of what you're trying to ask of me? To have the general removed from his position? That is absurd!"
In response, the crown prince retorted, "That general is nothing but a Tyrant hiding behind his family's pass. He has made no real accomplishments over the years of his tenure, and has given the capital nothing but debts!"
