The two older women exchanged confused glances with one another, whereas Yu Xiaoguang had a flustered expression on his face, Wang Tengfei's features remained stoic and unfazed.
"What? Don't you see we're both women, what is there to be ashamed of?" Dou Wei retorted, refusing to let go of Lihua's shoulders.
"No, No, I don't have anything against same sex relationships, believe me, I'm very accepting." Yu Xiaoguang said in an insisting tone, nervously scratching the back of his neck.
"We're not a couple though." He sharply inserted, clearing up any misunderstanding that might have sprung up.
"Is that so?" Wang Tengfei asked, staring directly at the Minister's son with questioning eyes. Mei Deng narrowed his eyes at him, as if warning him not to bring up the accidental wedding.
"Dou Wei, don't be rude. They're both still young and confused, let's for now help them out as much as we can." Lihua gently chimed into the conversation, making a motion to turn.
