She softly chuckled with slightly drooping eyes. Jephthah smirked and was about to reply when... Talia's eyes were slowly drooping closed as she forced herself to speak, but Jephthah was quick to notice it and quickly pressed his lips against hers for a second. "Goodnight Talia." He whispered and Talia whispered something inaudible as she leaned into his embrace. Jephthah stared at her sleeping face for a while before getting up, careful not to wake her up. When he got to the living room, he immediately dialed his brother's number. "John." His deep voice reveberrated on the other side. There was a groan, a curse and some scrambling noises. "What?" "I want us to talk." Jephthah insisted. John sighed and dropped back on his pillows. "Had a nightmare?" "No." "Then can't it wait till morning?" John groaned again. "It's about Talia." There was silence on the phone after that, only the soft faint sounds of John panting on the other side.
