"I don't hate you, Darniel," Emily started with a sigh. She folded her arms, "I just... didn't miss you."
"Is that why you won't look at me?"
The elevator doors pinged open and Emily went to his side, keeping his gaze, "I'm looking at you, are you happy?" She put his arm across her shoulder and the both of them slowly left the elevator, proceeding down the empty hallway.
"You've changed," she heard him say.
Emily plastered a smile on her face, "Yea, I've been among normal people and have been doing normal people things. I even went shopping with a friend and went to university."
"Even though it was only for a day," she added under her breath.
Emily opened the door to her apartment, "For the first time since you basically kidnapped me and made me into your sex toy, I felt like a normal person."
"I did kidnap you," Darniel admitted whilst sitting on the couch. "But I didn't make you into my sex toy, you made yourself into that."
