A few days passed since that day and though Taranis promised Ashley he'd tell her everything, he didn't, but then again, she didn't ask, which is quite strange.
She'd keep her distance and speak to him only when necessary without meeting his eyes or staring too long at his face. He had a feeling she was either angry with him for how he treated her the other day or she has heard him and Xander's conversation.
Taranis thought she'd get over it eventually, but he underestimated her growing stubbornness and ability to make him yearn for her attention.
"How much longer will you be upset with me?" he finally asked her.
"I'm not upset with you," she blatantly lied in a dull tone. She met his eyes briefly with a blank stare before looking away, "Must we talk every day?"
