BAM!
The sound of a gunshot echoed through the woods, later followed by the sound of a pained scream. Clutching her bleeding left hand to her chest, Amaira collapsed to her knees, crouching in distress as airy cries left her parted lips.
"Natalia, what the hell?!" Michael yelled and intended to rush to Amaira's aid, but Natalia held his wrist, holding him back.
He became the target of her deadly glare, but in a calm voice she asked him, "What are you thinking of doing?"
Michael held her stare, challenging her overbearing dominance. "I'm going to help her."
"She's a monster, Michael," she started in a soft voice. Her glare faded and was replaced by a pitiful expression. "Remember how she assaulted me the other day? She even stabbed Jenna in the eye and look at what she's done to Rose. What did Rose ever do to her to deserve this?"
