Amaira took her attention from the sky and focused her half-lidded eyes on the familiar area of darkness she could see in the distance from where she stood. "How big is that place?" she mumbled to herself, keeping her eyes on it as she thought of her options.
Would she be insane to venture back into the darkness Officer James sacrificed his life to get her out of?
Amaira shook the thought from her head. "I really must be losing my mind."
She continued forward, one foot in front of the other, entertaining thoughts of a certain vampire who enjoyed invading her mind and now her thoughts. 'I can see him if I sleep,' Amaira thought, but she quickly dismissed that idea as well.
There was a vampire on her tail who she knew could track her easily with the scent of her blood and to make things worst, the blood dripping from her wounded arm made her journey no secret.
