"Leave," Sly said in a clipped tone. It has been a long time since I last heard him make use of such a tone.
"Please, Sly. I apologize for lying to you. Please give me a second chance."
Just that voice was enough to make me hasten down the stairs.
I don't even know if I took the stairs two at a time. However, I only know that I need to reach there on time.
"Leave my house this instant, Kira."
"Please—"
I rounded the corners and came straight to where they were.
Kira's eyes nearly boggled out of their sockets when she saw me.
"Lee?" She sounded and looked like she didn't believe the sight in front of her.
"Who else will it be?" I walked towards Sly, who looked guilty. His expression showed how much he didn't want me to be there.
I guess he wanted to get everything done before I came down.
