Leah's mood had been asked the entire morning. Courtesy to the conversation she had with Matthews in the middle of the night.
Not even a private investigator who probably loved solving mysteries and hearing about them, felt that her story was real. What else was she supposed to do?
Instead of having her coffee like she did every morning, Leah opted for tea.
At least Mathews had been kind enough to forward her the number of another private investigator, but even after that, she did not appreciate the fact that other stories were full of loopholes.
"Fuck," she whispered and placed her head down on the counter. If this continued, she was going to reach nowhere, and as it was, no one was ready to help her.
